In a free enterprise, the community is not just another stakeholder, but is, in fact, the very purpose of its existence.

We organise exposure visits to science museums and book fairs for government school students to help them gain valuable practical insights into science, technology, and industry. Our volunteers organize mock exams for tenth-grade students preparing for public examinations. We also conduct mental wellbeing programmes in schools.
We have partnered with SASTRA University to offer M.Tech. in VLSI Design in collaboration with two Taiwan-based universities. We also provide financial assistance to deserving students who will be exposed to hands-on learning in Taiwan.
Upgrading infrastructural facilities of the surrounding government schools and Anganwadi centres is also our major focus.
Inspiring Children
'Prerna' - our first-ever volunteering initiative at Tata Electronics Systems Solutions (TESS), focuses on educating the next generation in Kolar district, Karnataka. The initiative currently covers 160 children in Bellur school and the neighbouring Anganwadi Centre.
As a part of Prerna, we host sports and art competitions for children. We also teach them about environmental practices via sapling plantation initiatives. These sessions are targeted to impact over 2000 children across the Kolar region.
Rural Development
Our Project Aanirai initiative launched in collaboration with Shreeja Mahila Milk Cooperative aims to empower women dairy farmers. The initiative is designed to provide sustainable income opportunities to over 1200 women dairy farmers across 100 neighbouring villages.
Impact Sourcing
We have a unique Impact Sourcing strategy to recruit women candidates from at-risk communities belonging to the socio-economically backward sections of society. We also ensure their educational, technical and holistic development.
This initiative is a part of our larger objective to create a diverse pool of women technology leaders in manufacturing.

- Facilitating Disaster Relief
Helping Local Communities
Tata Electronics provides funding for the allocation of five traffic wardens near the Hosur facility to ease the construction-related traffic congestion in that area. We have constructed a community hall and two community water RO plants, along with conducting farmer awareness sessions in the adjoining villages.
Facilitating Disaster Relief
At Tata Electronics, we make a dedicated effort to support our neighbouring communities in times of crisis resulting from natural calamities.
Recycling Initiatives
'Recycling Newspapers to Carry Bags' is another volunteering initiative where our associates design and make carry bags from discarded newspapers. These bags are then distributed among farmers and small-scale vendors.
Our volunteers have also been part of interactive events to raise awareness about solid waste management.
Blood Donation Camps
We organise regular blood donation drives and donate the collected units to various blood banks and Government hospitals.
